Corn Sausage 1.2.1 UPDATE

First,

Thank you for the response to my silly little game. It may not seem like much, but 15 downloads far exceeded my expectations for Corn Sausage. It's a short, unpolished game that re-uses assets from the Game Boy Color era with a title screen designed to be so obnoxious that it might turn some would-be players away. Despite that, I've had a handful of strangers on the internet contact me to say that not only played Corn Sausage, but loved it! That blew my mind. Absolutely unreal experience.

I'd like to give a special thanks to two of those people in particular:

Mushi, an artist and developer on the RPG Maker Forums, who very quickly and happily tore through the game and discovered secrets I was expecting to be hidden away for years. They reported some bugs I wouldn't have found otherwise, and their reaction to and feedback for the same gave me much joy and confidence in my game-making abilities. Thank you Mushi.

and Riggy2k3 (Youtube, Twitch), a streamer, musician, and developer who broadcast my game to his audience unprompted. To say this was a great surprise is an understatement. Seeing someone-- and their chat-- enjoy my game as much as they did was completely surreal. Thank you for that, Riggy!

Corn Sausage began as a "warm up" exercise for a much  more advanced game I have in mind. I asked my sister and her husband for one word each to steer the game's narrative. My sister: "Corn." My brother-in-law: "Sausage." At the time I had zero idea what that would become. I couldn't be happier with the results.

Last night I uploaded v 1.2.1 for Windows (and will upload the same for Mac OS a few hours after this post). This version will be the last major update to Corn Sausage for some time, as I am ready to begin developing my next project. There may be larger updates far down the road, but as of right now I am satisfied with the state the game is in, barring any bugs that pop up here and there.

Again, thank you so much for the love you've shown this silly little game. Keep an eye open in a couple years for the next one.

Love,

Adam V.
