Corn Sausage RPG (ORIGINAL)
A downloadable poop for Windows and macOS
Corn Sausage is an absurd adventure through the vast and endless world of 9:00, PM. The player takes on the role of a COOL GUY living with their mom as they experience "the greatest night of their life" in a quest to prove mom wrong-- twin-sized mattresses do, in fact, constitute adequate decorations. Recruit friends, solve mysteries, and enjoy delicious food as you travel the tri-state area in search of the Legendary Mattress Stores.
The game is getting a HUGE update.

Corn Sausage features a silly tone, but has some heart to it. Not counting optional content, the game runs about 2 hours long.
Experience simplistic combat (though you unlock more skills and companions as you progress), relatively straightforward exploration, and hilarious dialogue. It's a treat.
Corn Sausage was developed as an exercise in kicking myself out of the nest, so-to-speak. With 2 private projects under my belt, I was ready to make something grand to release to the public. Before I could do that, however, I forced myself to spend 2 months (and no more) on a project (thus the Pokemon artstyle, sorry) that I would have no choice but to show to the public.

Install instructions
1. Download and extract CornSausage.zip
2. Launch Corn Sausage RPG.exe
To bring save files to updated version of the game, copy your old "www" folder into the new file location.
FOR MAC OS:
The game may not let you save your progress unless you follow these instructions:
- Drag the game's launcher to your Applications folder
OR:
- Instead of opening the game like normal, right-click it and select Show Package Contents.
- Expand the folder “MacOS” and launch the game using nwjs from now on.
- If possible, I recommend playing the Windows version of Corn Sausage over the Mac OS. RPG Maker games are in general less stable on Mac OS, and prone to crashes and many other issues. If you have trouble with your Mac OS version of the game (failure to launch or save the game, etc), I am happy to help. You can contact me on Twitter @AdamJVarner

Hello,
I streamed your game last night. Overall, I just sort of found the game boring.
Clearly the humor wasn't resonating with me much at all (which I sort of predicted might be the case just before launching the game), and the combat seems pretty thoughtless, falling into the standard basic JRPG trope of "Just use your 'ATTACK' skill".
Something that can't been seen in the game itself, but is something that really should be commended, however, is your focus on finishing a game, rather than spending years, and years, and years, and years making the "Perfect game of my dreams." I've preached this in my own streams several times in the past, and that is that dev's really need to stop working on projects and start finishing projects.
So, while this game is not to my taste, I really applaud you dev for going out and finishing a game. You have the right mindset, I just hope to see that mindset applied to something great next time.
If you'd like to watch my experience with your game, I've linked the archive below. You can click the timestamps to jump to when I start playing your game.
Hi!
Thank you for checking out the game, streaming it, and taking the time to share your feedback. I've never seen a grading of games like this, so thank you for the marks, though I don't think I would have given myself the Accessibility point just for Yanfly's work, haha
Cheers!
While I agree with you that the Accessibility point for RPG Maker devs is too easy to earn, too few RM devs continue to ignore implementing such a simple but powerful tool. Once I start to see this trend being broken and more RM devs begin implementing keyboard controls, I'll reconsider the requirement for earning the point. But I have a feeling that may be a long time from now.
from name and title screen alone this would appear to be the world's most unappealing game, but much like any american comfort food once you take that first bite it'll be irresistible to stop until you're done. i've played through the entire main storyline, which was a nice jog around an anywhere, usa type location with fetch quests, puzzles, and good ol' turn based fighting. the dialogue ranges from silly to a quaint optimism and at times surreal or abrupt. adam's humor is rock solid, even the more juvenile humor got a chuckling along with an eye-roll.
since i've got to the credits i've moved to finding all the little whistles and bells, catching every bug along the way, and powering cool guy up until he lives up to his name-sake. i'm at about 72% with the achievements at the time of posting this review and i just want to say that so far all the extra stuff has been well worth the time.
thanks adam for making this fun little romp! i'm looking forward to yahop!
Thank you so much for the kind and awesome review, but thank you more for checking out the game!! It means so much to me my friend :)
Wow, this was such an enjoyable experience. This one really shines with it's writing. It's both humorous and sincere, which rarely gets done right. Congrats on the game, Adam. I'll be on the lookout for your next project! Btw I got to the end screen in 3 hours
Thank you so much for checking it out, and the kind words!! :)
Oh man... started playing this on my livestream last night, and what a blast. The writing and the humor is excellent, the maps are great and the combat is quick and easy. Haven't quite finished it, but hoping to play the rest in the next week.
(Game starts at around 2:03:00)
Riggy, thank you so much for the kind words both in your comment and during your stream. I watched you play and it filled me with so much joy! Even ignoring the ego boost from watching you play my game, I have to say I think you're a great streamer. I love your style and how much you read the dialogue for your viewers! You'll probably be seeing me in your chat now and then, especially with all of the indie and lesser known stuff I see on your channel! :)
Thanks again!!
Ahhh thanks so much, dude! It means a lot! Would love to have ya!
